|Jamie McDermott, MS, RD/LD
Jamie McDermott, MS, RD/LD, is a registered dietitian and licensed nutritionist practicing at the Shoulder Center of Arkansas. She is also a clinical nutrition consultant for the Arkansas Razorbacks, where she advises athletes on performance nutrition, sees those struggling with disordered eating, and co-leads a weekly support group. Nutrition Counseling - Initial Visit
During a private, one-hour initial consultation with Jamie, you will review your medical history, dieting history, nutrition and weight goals. Jamie will recommend diet changes and provide written guidelines to get you started on your path to a healthier lifestyle.
Nutrition Counseling - Follow up Visits
Follow up sessions are available in 30 or 60 minute increments. In each follow up appointment, Jamie will review the changes that have been made since the last visit, review food logs and make suggestions, and discuss steps for the next appointment.
Nutrition Counseling Packages
Not only do counseling packages provide clients with a discounted rate on each session, they offer continuous monitoring and support. Numerous research studies have shown that individuals who are the most successful with positive nutrition, weight, and lifestyle changes receive frequent, regular support from their coach, even after goals have been met.
Jamie offers a number of counseling packages that provide analysis of the client's current diet, nutrition education, an individualized meal plan, recipes, and tools to help you maintain positive changes and weight goals.
Gold Package (10 visits)
Clients who purchase the gold package will receive routine, long term support and will learn new tools for meeting and sustaining their health and nutrition goals with each successive hour long visit. With the purchase of the gold package, clients have access to Jamie's support any time.
Silver Package (5 visits)
The silver package ensures that short-term goals are met during 5 hour long appointments. Clients will receive the support and tools they need to make immediate and sustainable health and nutrition changes.
Couples / Family Package
Individuals and/or families who would like to embark on a health journey together are eligible for a discount on either the gold or silver packages.
Follow Up Packages (5 or 10 visits)
Many clients who have met their health and weight goals still benefit greatly from regular support. Follow up packages consist of 30 minute sessions to review current nutrition habits and make any necessary changes if small setbacks occur. A small change is easier to make than a large one after waiting too long!
